Ich aktivity aj geografické lokácie sú nomádické: vydávajú ziny klasickou xeroxovou metódou, organizujú akcie, vystavujú, venujú sa hudbe, majú reláciu na kultovom budapeštianskom rádiu Tilos. Kolektív pozostáva z niekoľkých členov, ktorí žijú a pracujú v Berlíne, Barcelone alebo Budapešti.

Len pripomeňme, že koncept das Unheimliche je zrejme najznámejší z Freudovej teórie, kde označuje niečo dôverne známe, ale zároveň stiesňujúco cudzie. “Cieľom nášho projektu T+U je skúmať kultúrne fenomény, ktoré vznikli konfrontáciou súčasných technológií a tzv. human condition prostrednícvom tematických čísiel a spriaznených iniciatív, ktoré sa snažia upozorniť na to, ako technológie stimujú ľudstvo,” hovorí jeden z členov Technologie und das Unheimliche Zsolt Miklosvolgyi.

VÝCHODISKA: TECHNOLOGY, CULTURE AND THE HUMAN CONDITION

Technologie und das Unheimliche, or T+U, is a Hungarian collective, they themselves call it a movement or community, which deals with the relation and impact of contemporary technology and humans, or culture as such. Their activities as well as geographical locations are nomadic in their nature: they publish zines utilising the traditional photocopying technique, organise events, exhibit, make music and have a show on the legendary Budapest radio Tilos. The collective includes several members who live and work in Berlin, Barcelona and Budapest. Das Unheimliche, or the uncanny, is a concept mostly renown from Sigmund Freud's theory, where it denotes something strangely familiar and alien at the same time. “Our aims as T+U is to circuit cultural phenomena resulting from the confrontation between contemporary technology and the human condition by means of thematic issues and related projects that somehow want to highlight this sort of problem of how technology irritates humans,” says one of the members of T+U Zsolt Miklosvolgyi.
